Emerald Technology Partners releases the first 48 foot refrigerated semi-trailer that operates without fossil fuel, diesel fuel and emits zero emissions.
Online — March 24, 2013 — After several years of research and development, Emerald Technology Partners, LLC is successfully using, in a commercial capacity, the patent pending WEDWAY™ REFRIGERATION POWER SYSTEM.
On February 28, 2013, at 5:45 am, a transportation distributor for a domestic and international franchise company operated the WEDWAY™ REFRIGERATION POWER SYSTEM successfully on a 48 foot commercial reefer trailer. The trailer, utilizing the WEDWAY™ REFRIGERATION POWER SYSTEM, in place of the diesel-powered refrigeration system, transported dairy product from a distribution center, across central Florida back to the main hub, located in Tampa.
During the delivery run, all systems worked flawlessly and to standard; the product was transported and arrived at the required industry temperature.
The WEDWAY™ REFRIGERATION POWER SYSTEM is a kinetic power device that replaces the diesel engine and the diesel fuel systems on refrigerated semi-trailers.
The WEDWAY™ REFRIGERATION POWER SYSTEM comes equipped with the WedLink™ temperature monitoring & management system, by InTouch Monitoring Solutions LLC. The WedLink™ is the industry trend-setter in GPS tracking and fleet management technology. The WedLink™ gives fleet managers the ability to view the location of their reefer trailers in real-time, and manage all refrigeration and mechanical systems, 24 hours a day from any computer or mobile device that has an internet connection.
